FUTURE SCIENTIST IN THE MAKING

18th February 2026, Kalpakkam - Atomic Energy Central School No. 2, Kalpakkam was the center of attraction this Monday i.e., 16th February 2026 as it became witness to the young scientist in the making. AECS No. 2, Kalpakkam hosted the Zonal Level Science Exhibition, in which the various schools of South Zone came to participate.
The Competition had 8 schools competiting each other for Bibha Choudhari Upcoming Scientist Award, a prestigious award which includes a Championship Trophy for the School and a cash prize of Rs.50,000/- for the student. The competiting schools were from Kaiga, Kudankulam, Mysore, Hyderabad, Pazhyakal and the 3 schools from Kalpakkam center.
The Science Exhibition was inaugurated by LMC Chairman, Kalpakkam. The students showcased immense talent and the exhibits were greatly appreciated by the Chief Guest as well as the judges. Chief Guest mentioned that Science is the future and the future surely lies in the hands of the youngsters.
Bibha Choudhari Upcoming Scientist Award was won by the Kriti of Class 10th from AECS No. 2, Kalpakkam. and runners up Trophy was bagged by Kudunkulam team. The students as well as the residents of Kalpakkam enjoyed the exihibition. Overall, the Zonal Level Science Exhibition was a grand success.
